Chicago Chapter of Student NATS

Chicago Chapter of Student NATS (CCSNATS) is a new organization associated with the Chicago Chapter of NATS and not with any particular university. This association gives CCSNATS members the ability to network and participate with a growing assemblage of young performing artists in the Chicago metropolitan area.

CCSNATS offers performance opportunities, workshops, lectures, master classes, networking events and more to its members – all for $20 a year! A mentoring program for teaching is being developed as well, which will be available to CCSNATS members. In addition, members are eligible to receive a discounted subscription rate to the Journal of Singing.

Young singers, proactively seeking to better themselves and to make the most of their education and burgeoning careers, have founded this new chapter. Chicago Chapter of Student NATS aspires to awaken high ideals and a desire to achieve success in college and future careers.

CCSNATS aims to provide a forum for innovative ideas to enrich the music community, and seeks to encourage public interest and support of vocal music by bringing together students, faculty, and members of the community who share a common interest.

Chicago Chapter of Student NATS’s goal is to contribute guidance toward the academic, intellectual, and social welfare of our members, and to represent future music educators' needs and wants in regards to furthering student knowledge and awareness of vocal scholarship, science and teaching practices.

Membership Requirements: -Members must be actively studying with a current CCNATS member. -If a member is over the age of 30 years old, the member must be enrolled in a degree-seeking music program at a university in the Chicago metropolitan area.
