CCNATS and North Park University are co-sponsoring a meeting with Dr. Robert Loewen, the Senior Vocal Examiner from the Royal Conservatory of Music- Music Development Program. This event is free and open to all, so share with any colleagues (or students) who might be interested. The Music Development Program (MDP) offers materials appropriate for all levels of vocal and musical development.
The Music Development Program (MDP) inspires excellence through individual student assessments and allows students to celebrate accomplishment and track their progress with others across the country.

MDP Voice Syllabus
MDP's presence in the US has grown significantly in the last decade through the support of its parent organization, the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. RCM sets the national standard for music education in Canada, and MDP is doing the same in the US.
A national standard ensures the equality of all students, no matter where they are located. The National Association of Teachers of Singing endorses MDP's vocal curriculum, and the following music teachers associations have formally adopted MDP as their statewide assessment systems for all instruments and voice: Ohio, Massachusetts, Missouri, Wyoming, and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. MDP curricula are free resources, and there are no teacher fees or volunteer obligations.
At the meeting, Dr. Loewen will provide a 30 minute overview of the program and then work with two students: an Elementary Level Student (Levels 1-4) and an Intermediate Level Student (Levels 5-7) to demonstrate how the curriculum can be applied in the voice studio. An intermediate level student would be comparable to a Freshman-Sophomore College student in the US. Finally, there will be plenty of time for questions!
In addition, all who attend will be eligible to enter a drawing for a selection of books from the MDP Vocal Series:
